RN – Labor & Delivery

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery unit at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights. This night shift role (7:00 pm‑7:30 am) includes on‑call duties and supports patients from admission through discharge.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions, including electronic fetal monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments per nursing protocols.
• Educate patients and families on breastfeeding, Kangaroo Care, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with Maternal‑Fetal Physicians and Certified Nurse Midwives.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• At least one year of acute care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Electronic fetal monitoring proficiency.
