RN Imaging – Neuro Expansion

About the role

The Registered Nurse in Imaging will work within the Neurological Institute’s new state‑of‑the‑art facility. This blended specialty role spans vascular access, interventional radiology, and diagnostic imaging, supporting patients undergoing complex neurological procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care before, during, and after neurological interventional radiology, CT, MRI, and vascular access procedures.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor patients throughout procedures, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team.
• Administer treatments and medications according to established protocols and develop individualized care plans.
• Coordinate discharge planning, educate patients and families, and cross‑cover other nursing roles as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and the ongoing development of the imaging program.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) with current state RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of recent RN experience (or two years LPN experience in the same department as a substitute).
• Preferred: BSN, two years of recent RN experience in acute care or procedural settings, and experience in vascular access, interventional radiology, CT, or MRI.

Required skills

• Vascular Access procedures (including PICC lines).
• Interventional Radiology techniques.
• CT and MRI imaging protocols.
• Use of peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC) and related infusion devices.
