About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care in the ICU on weekends, following hospital policies to ensure a safe environment and high-quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Maintain and care for central lines and prevent surgical site infections per policy.
Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and provide patient and family education.
Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, document care activities, and communicate information to physicians and the care team.
Follow infection prevention, safe patient handling, and critical lab notification procedures.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current RN license in Missouri or Compact Licensure; graduate nurses must obtain licensure within 90 days.
One year of nursing experience preferred.
Ability to lift up to 35 lb and perform frequent walking and other physical tasks.

Required skills

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
