About the role

The Nightingale Flex program offers retired Cleveland Clinic RNs a flexible, part‑time opportunity to support inpatient nursing teams at Hillcrest Hospital. You will assist with admissions, discharges, patient education and other clinical and administrative tasks, allowing bedside nurses to focus on direct patient care.

Key responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care and support to inpatient units.
Assist with admission and discharge planning, patient education, and coordination of care.
Document patient conditions, update care plans, and communicate changes to the care team.
Carry out physician and nursing orders as needed.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure.
Minimum three years of RN experience at Cleveland Clinic prior to retirement.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to work variable shifts (4, 6, 8 or 12 hours) and meet a minimum of 192 hours per year.

Required skills

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
