RN – Emergency Department

About the role

The Emergency Department at Mercy Hospital, a Cleveland Clinic Health System facility, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide 24/7 critical care in a Level II Trauma Center. You will deliver direct patient care, coordinate treatment plans, and educate patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and follow physician orders.
• Assess discharge needs and educate patients and families.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in the state.
• At least one year of acute care or Emergency Department experience (military RN experience considered).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (upon hire or within one year).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (upon hire or within one year).
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC – adult) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC – pediatric) (upon hire or within one year).
