RN – Electrophysiology Lab PRN

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a PRN Registered Nurse to work in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab at Mercy Hospital in Canton. You will care for patients with complex heart‑rhythm disorders, ensuring comfort and safety throughout diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing EP diagnostic or therapeutic services, including assessments, documentation, and medication administration.
• Perform telephone triage, call rotations, and coordinate discharge planning.
• Collaborate with physicians, patients, and families to develop and adjust care plans.
• Cover additional nursing roles within the department as needed.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) with current RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at hire and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six months.
• At least one year of recent RN experience or two years of LPN experience in a Cleveland Clinic procedural department.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and ability to work in a fast‑paced EP environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in BLS and ACLS protocols.
• Experience with EP Lab procedures and equipment.
• Knowledge of Cath Lab operations and cross‑training.
• Ability to perform cardiac monitoring and administer related medications.
