RN - Cath Lab PreOp/PACU

About the role

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in the Cath Lab environment, ensuring safety, quality, and effective communication with patients, families, and the health‑care team.

Key responsibilities

• Follow hospital policies for infection prevention, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications.
• Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and provide patient and family education.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, document care accurately, and support quality‑measure compliance.
• Communicate pertinent patient information to physicians and team members to improve outcomes.
• Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
• Current RN license in Missouri or a Compact State.
• One year of health‑care experience preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lb, stand, walk, and perform frequent patient handling activities.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Valid RN license for the State of Missouri or Compact State.
