About the role

The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit at Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital provides specialized care for patients with cardiac‑related diseases. This night‑shift RN position supports patients throughout their treatment, ensuring comfort, safety and education while offering opportunities for advanced education and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to cardiac patients.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate and update patient care plans.
• Document and communicate patients’ conditions accurately.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate discharge needs.
• Educate patients and families about care and recovery.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtain within first year).
• One year of acute care RN experience or licensed military RN experience.
