RN Ambulatory – Pulmonology

About the role

The Registered Nurse will work in the Pulmonary‑Ambulatory Operations department at Hillcrest Hospital, providing comprehensive care for patients undergoing pulmonary function testing, lung nodule screening and outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation. This full‑time, daytime position offers the chance to interact directly with patients and families while supporting the execution of individualized care plans.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, including assessments, telephone triage and care plan development.
• Administer medications and treatments, assist with specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and operate patient‑care equipment.
• Notify physicians or Licensed Independent Providers of abnormal findings and initiate emergency measures such as CPR when needed.
• Collaborate with care coordinators for smooth transitions of care and participate in quality improvement and research activities.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN) and hold current state RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• At least one year of recent RN experience, or equivalent clinical experience if transferring within Cleveland Clinic.
