Retirement Benefit Specialist (On-Site, AZ)

About the role

Vensure Employer Solutions is looking for a Retirement Benefit Specialist to work on site in Arizona. The specialist assists the Retirement Team by providing administrative support to client-sponsored retirement plans and to Vensure's 401(k) Multiple Employer Plans (MEP) and Pooled Employer Plans (PEP). The role covers day-to-day operations such as plan compliance, client and participant support, retirement-related payroll adjustments and setup of new plans, and works directly with retirement vendors to resolve issues.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with retirement plan administration: upload contribution files, fix file errors, navigate provider websites and remit payments.
• Support MEPs and PEPs by reviewing and approving distributions and participant loans, enrolling new participants and correcting contribution errors.
• Communicate with internal and external customers about 401(k) administration, giving subject-matter expertise on Vensure products.
• Create and follow process documents to keep procedures consistent and accurate.
• Partner with retirement vendors on due diligence of MEP/PEP plans and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with Payroll, Client Relations and Benefits to keep administration on schedule.
• Coordinate year-end compliance testing and reporting, provide annual Form 5500 and audit support.

Required profile

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of experience, skills and education preferred.
• 2+ years of retirement plan experience; group retirement plan (MEP/PEP) experience is a plus.
• Retirement-related credentials (e.g., ASPPA, CEBS) are a plus.

Required skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• ERISA knowledge.
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prism HRIS software experience is a plus.
