Retail Training Manager

About the role

The Retail Training Manager will travel across Ohio to support multiple dispensary locations, delivering onboarding, training and development programs that enhance customer experience, sales effectiveness and product knowledge. This field‑based position works closely with store teams and leadership to raise performance standards throughout the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Travel regularly to dispensaries throughout Ohio to provide on‑site training and coaching.
• Design and deliver engaging onboarding, continuous learning and leadership development programs.
• Coach store teams on consultative selling, customer experience best practices and operational excellence.
• Create and maintain training materials, SOPs, product education resources and learning curricula.
• Partner with retail leadership to identify performance gaps and implement targeted development plans.
• Conduct store visits, audits and training assessments to ensure consistency across locations.
• Stay up‑to‑date on cannabis products, regulations, industry trends and consumer preferences to continuously improve training content.
• Support new store openings and expansion initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in retail training, learning & development, or field training roles.
• Proven experience delivering training across multiple retail locations.
• Strong facilitation, presentation and coaching abilities.
• Passion for customer experience, sales development and employee engagement.
• Ability to travel extensively throughout Ohio.
• Experience in cannabis, specialty retail, hospitality, beauty, wellness or similar customer‑focused industries is highly preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
