Retail Sales Expert - Fashion Island

About the role

Archipelago Cosmetics is hiring a full-time Retail Sales Expert for its melin store in Fashion Island, Newport Beach. The Sales Expert provides a high level of connection and focus to every guest, puts the guest first and builds a lifelong relationship with them and the melin brand. The role covers opening and closing the store, managing the drawer and daily revenue drop, and handling operational procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Engage new customers, personalize connections and provide premium customer service
• Show deep product knowledge of melin's lines, fashion trends and the competition
• Restock, handle back-of-house operations and supply needs, and keep the retail floor clean and visually aligned with store concepts
• Open and close the store, set alarms and support Cashwrap and POS procedures
• Reconcile tills, process returns, exchanges, gift cards and discounts with manager approval
• Communicate customer feedback to leadership and solve customer issues professionally

Required profile

• At least one year of sales and merchandising experience, preferably retail goods, with opening and closing duties
• Strong communication, time management and organizational skills
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings and holidays
• Able to lift and move objects up to 15 pounds and climb ladders or stairs
• Preferred: knowledge of action sports, golf, running and a passion for the outdoors

• Hourly pay of $17-$20 depending on experience
