Retail Associate – Movie Franchise Event Store

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring a Retail Associate to support the Retail Supervisor in running a retail store at a nighttime woodland trail event in New York. The store sells film-related merchandise and food and beverage inspired by the movies, and the associate helps guests find items, check out and get answers. The event runs about 14 weeks starting around September 21, 2026, with onsite hours between 4:00 pm and 11:30 pm, five to six days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Help the Retail Supervisor manage retail operations: inventory, scheduling, staffing, cleanliness and preparations
• Help plan and run the retail set-up and teardown
• Supervise the team during initial inventory and unboxing of merchandise
• Manage scheduling, training and supervision of retail staff
• Set up POS systems with the Fever-Ops team and Event Management
• Oversee service flow and sales positions, monitor cash and card transactions, and resolve customer complaints
• Delegate duties and report staff issues to on-site managers and the local labour provider
• Coordinate delivery shipments of incoming merchandise with the Global Retail Lead and Event Manager
• Ensure smooth shift patterns and that breaks are taken

Required profile

• 3+ years of retail management or supervisory experience
• Leadership skills, including training and holding others accountable
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration
• Positive, outgoing, energetic attitude and calm under pressure
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays; preferably able to stand long periods, lift up to 25 lbs and bend, twist and kneel
• Current first-aid certification is a plus
