Respiratory Therapist (PRN) – Cardiopulmonary Department

About the role

The Cardiopulmonary Department at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center seeks a PRN Respiratory Therapist to deliver high‑quality diagnostic and therapeutic services under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Manager and Medical Director.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing and cardiopulmonary procedures in accordance with medical center policies and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and charge capture for each exam or procedure.
• Participate in quality assurance programs, preventative maintenance, and departmental policy updates.
• Manage inventory, stock supplies, and ensure proper coverage of 12‑hour day/night and outpatient shifts.
• Provide patient and community education within the scope of respiratory therapy and coordinate care with internal and external providers.

Required profile

• Completed an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and hold a current Montana state license.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations while maintaining professional communication.

Required skills

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP certifications.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard office software (email, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Clinical skills in respiratory diagnostics, therapy modalities, and patient education.
