Research Technician – Biomedical Sciences

About the role

The College of Dentistry at Texas A&M University Health Science Center seeks a Research Technician to support the Biomedical Sciences department. This on‑site position in Dallas involves hands‑on laboratory work, animal care, and assistance to students and faculty on research projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in conducting experiments, technical procedures, and sample collection.
• Provide animal care, including genotype verification, surgery, and handling.
• Perform histological processing, microscopy, image analysis, and photography.
• Support undergraduate and graduate students with their research activities.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, scientific apparatus, and computer systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; two years of related laboratory experience.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility in daily tasks.
