Research Nurse Coordinator – Hematology/Oncology

About the role

The Research Nurse Coordinator will support the Weston Cancer Research Program by coordinating and managing human subject research studies from start‑up through completion, ensuring participant safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation and conduct of research projects, adhering to protocol requirements and timelines.
• Prepare and communicate regulatory documents, report Serious Adverse Events, and complete FDA and sponsor forms.
• Serve as liaison among investigators, research personnel, sponsors, and central administration.
• Perform nursing assessments, document findings, and notify physicians of abnormal results.
• Develop care plans with patients, families, and the research team and manage discharge planning.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, and supervise nursing care for research subjects.
• Participate in education, research, and performance‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and current RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Four years of clinical experience, including two years in research.
• Understanding of research processes, terminology, and oncology specialty.
• Ability to meet clinical competency requirements and maintain professional relationships.
