About the role

The Knight-Georgetown Institute (KGI) is seeking a Research Analyst to join its small, high‑impact team. This early‑career position focuses on technology policy research, especially around online platforms and generative AI, and contributes to widely disseminated policy communications.

Key responsibilities

Synthesize academic findings across social science, law, computer science, and public policy.
Contribute to original research projects on platform governance, algorithmic design, and digital market competition.
Help craft policy communications for state, federal, and international audiences.
Support the organization of workshops, convenings, and conferences with leading experts.
Assist in curating evidence‑based frameworks for platform design litigation and policy.

Required profile

Early‑career professional with strong analytical and research abilities.
Interest in technology policy and cross‑disciplinary research.
Excellent written communication skills for policy briefs and reports.
Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams.
