Remote Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner (GA Jurisdiction)

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring a remote Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner dedicated to a single client, working on Georgia lost-time claims. The role analyzes claims to determine benefits due, adjudicates them within service expectations and industry best practice, and negotiates settlements within designated authority.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and process claims through well-developed action plans to an appropriate and timely resolution
• Investigate and gather information to determine the exposure on each claim
• Negotiate settlement of claims within designated authority
• Communicate claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client
• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to directions in a professional and timely manner

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred
• 3 to 5 years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid worker's compensation license that is reciprocal with multiple jurisdictions (required)
• Knowledge of Georgia jurisdiction required; additional states preferred
• Professional certification applicable to the line of business preferred
