Tax Manager

About the role

Axway is looking for a Tax Manager to join its Finance organization in Scottsdale, Arizona. The role reports to the Group Tax team and covers U.S. direct and indirect tax compliance, with exposure to international tax, transfer pricing, tax accounting, business transformation projects and M&A activities. The position is hybrid, with two days onsite per week.

Key responsibilities

• Manage U.S. federal, state and local income tax compliance, prepare and file corporate income tax returns, and own sales and use tax and other indirect tax obligations
• Coordinate tax compliance for selected non-U.S. jurisdictions with local finance teams and external advisors, and monitor legislative developments
• Support tax audits and relations with tax authorities, including preparing responses to notices and information requests
• Support tax reporting, current and deferred tax calculations, and tax provision and account reconciliation
• Support transfer pricing compliance, review intercompany transactions and policies, and contribute to international tax initiatives
• Take part in business transformation projects and support tax aspects of acquisitions, integrations and reorganizations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field
• About 5 years of experience in corporate taxation, public accounting or a combination of both
• Solid knowledge of U.S. federal and state corporate income tax compliance
• Experience working with external tax advisors; exposure to international tax or transfer pricing is a plus
