Director of Finance

About the role

Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh is looking for a Director of Finance to own all financial aspects of the business, including its financial strategy and planning. The role also covers assessing financial performance, risks and investment opportunities. The successful candidate is expected to be a reliable professional with broad knowledge of accounting, financial and business principles, and a strategic thinker and effective leader.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze the company's performance and risks and carry out financial planning based on the results
• Manage the company's finance IT system
• Monitor the financial position and develop measures to prevent problems
• Supervise all accounting and finance personnel and assign them tasks
• Supervise audit and internal control operations
• Create financial forecasts and present them to executives
• Build relationships with partners and investors and organize the corporate fundraising strategy
• Prepare detailed quarterly and annual reports on financial performance
• Ensure financial operations comply with financial laws and guidelines

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a Director of Finance or similar position
• BSc or BA in accounting, finance or a related field; MSc or MA and CPA or other relevant certification are a bonus
• Strong analytical, strategic, organizational and leadership skills, plus excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Required skills

• Deep experience managing corporate finance and accounting principles
• Solid experience in financial analysis and forecasting
• Knowledge of financial laws and best practices
• Practical experience with MS Office and financial management software such as SAP
