Senior Accountant

About the role

10X Health System is hiring a Senior Accountant in Scottsdale, AZ, working onsite. The role maintains accurate financial records and owns assigned reconciliations, journal entries and monthly close activities across multiple legal entities, supports financial reporting and reviews results in line with US GAAP and internal controls. It also works with Finance and other departments to improve the accuracy and efficiency of accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank and credit card accounts, and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation and other assigned areas
• Review account balances and financial results, perform variance analysis and report findings to accounting leadership
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and record asset additions, disposals and depreciation
• Reconcile inventory balances with Operations and investigate discrepancies
• Support revenue recognition and related reconciliations under company policy and US GAAP
• Prepare schedules and documentation for financial reporting, tax filings and external audits
• Follow internal controls, identify gaps and collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues
• Identify and implement process improvements and support special accounting projects and analyses

Required profile

• At least 3 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and monthly close
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Public accounting experience preferred; eCommerce and ERP implementation experience preferred

Required skills

• Working knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
• QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
• ERP systems such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics or Great Plains
• Advanced Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions
• Understanding of inventory accounting, fixed assets and revenue recognition
