Remote Renewable Energy Project Manager (Land & Right-of-Way)

About the role

Atwell, LLC, a consulting, engineering and construction firm serving real estate, land development and energy markets, is seeking a Renewable Energy Project Manager to support land and right-of-way efforts for renewable energy projects across the U.S. The role oversees scope, schedule, budget, client communication, team coordination, reporting and project delivery, acting as a key point of contact for clients and internal teams. It is remote.

Key responsibilities

• Manage renewable energy land and right-of-way projects from kickoff through completion.
• Develop and maintain project scope, schedule, budget, milestones, staffing plans and deliverables.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, project teams, landowners, subconsultants and internal stakeholders.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including land agents, title, GIS, document management, survey, permitting and environmental support.
• Support site acquisition, lease acquisition, easement acquisition, landowner outreach and land rights efforts.
• Monitor progress and report regularly on schedule, budget, staffing, risks and deliverables.
• Review project documentation, landowner data, title materials, agreements, status maps, field reports and project files.
• Support contract administration, change orders, invoicing, reporting and project financial performance.
• Identify risks, troubleshoot issues and build strong client relationships.
• Travel to project sites, client meetings or team meetings as needed.

Required profile

• 5+ years of project management experience on renewable energy, utility, land, right-of-way or infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing land acquisition, lease acquisition, easements, landowner coordination, title or permitting.
• Renewable energy project experience preferred (solar, wind, battery storage, transmission, gen-tie, substation).
• Experience with land agreements, option agreements, leases, easements and access agreements.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
• IRWA, SR/WA, AAPL, PMP or similar certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Project controls: scope, schedule, budget, reporting and client communication.
• Preferred: Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Salesforce, LandGate or similar project management or ERP systems.
• Preferred: knowledge of title, survey, GIS, permitting, environmental and document management workflows.
