Junior Construction Estimator (Bilingual)

About the role

Helping Companies (HCO) is looking for a Junior Construction Estimator with experience on construction projects in the United States. The role is remote and supports estimating activities while helping with daily construction project operations. Concrete construction experience is a strong plus.

Key responsibilities

• Construction estimating: prepare cost estimates, budgets and proposals; perform quantity takeoffs from architectural and construction drawings; review blueprints, specifications and project documentation; request and compare subcontractor and supplier quotes; support bid preparation and submission; maintain estimating spreadsheets and cost databases; calculate material and labour costs.
• Project support: help project managers with scheduling and coordination; track progress, deadlines and deliverables; communicate with subcontractors, vendors and suppliers; organize documentation, contracts and change orders; follow up on RFIs, submittals and pending information; assist with material orders and delivery; prepare project updates, reports and administrative documents.

Required profile

• Previous experience on construction projects in the United States (required).
• Experience in construction estimating, quantity takeoffs or cost analysis.
• Professional English at B2+ level or higher, written and spoken.
• Ability to read and interpret U.S. construction drawings and specifications, and understand U.S. construction terminology and workflows.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work remotely and communicate with U.S.-based teams.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Preferred: estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, STACK, and construction management platforms such as Buildertrend, JobTread, BuildBook, Procore.
• Preferred: experience with concrete construction, residential or commercial projects, and supporting U.S. general contractors or project managers.
