Relief Pharmacist - Sign On, Relocation Available

About the role

Meijer is hiring a relief pharmacist who can sign on quickly, with relocation available. The pharmacist must practice in a patient-care and education-focused environment, be patient-directed and clinically oriented, and help take Meijer Pharmacy to the next level of patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results and mentor them to be effective team members.
• Listen to patients, resolve their needs and provide excellent customer service.
• Oversee pharmacy operations in the absence of the pharmacist in charge.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations, where allowed.
• Be competent in Meijer policies and procedures and state and federal laws.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Retail/community practice experience.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and policies and procedures.
• Understanding of regulations in the state where the unit operates.
• Effective communication, organization and prioritization skills.
