Reliability Engineer – Aerospace Manufacturing

About the role

Airbus Aerosystems is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join the Engineering department at its Kinston, NC plant. The role focuses on improving safety, reliability and availability of a diverse range of aerospace manufacturing assets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement maintenance strategies for new aerostructure technologies.
• Develop and manage spare‑parts strategies to support asset uptime.
• Ensure compliance with legislative and safety regulations.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset reliability and availability.
• Collaborate with the Industrial Maintenance team on corrective and preventive maintenance of CNC machinery, production equipment, autoclaves and automated guided vehicles.

Required profile

• Experience in industrial maintenance or reliability engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems used in aerospace production.
• Ability to analyze failure data and drive root‑cause investigations.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards.
