Composite & Bonding Specialist Manager

About the role

The Composite & Bonding Specialist Manager leads a team responsible for the fabrication and assembly of complex aerostructures. This role ensures that components are assembled, joined, and tested to meet strict aerospace standards and customer acceptance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team in developing solutions for complex composite and bonding challenges.
• Oversee assembly of components into sub‑assemblies, including metallic and non‑metallic structural joins.
• Manage installation of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems using fasteners, connectors, and adhesives.
• Coordinate testing with mechanical, electrical and electronic test equipment.
• Interface with engineering, suppliers, management and customers to ensure product requirements are met.
• Develop and manage statements of work, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace.
• At least 5 years in a leadership or management role overseeing cross‑functional teams.
• Experience working with quality, assembly, procurement, supply chain and machining groups.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• U.S. citizenship required; ability to travel up to 5 % domestically/internationally.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using SAP for manufacturing and project management.
