Reinsurance & Loss Trends Analyst (Hybrid/Remote)

About the role

The Reinsurance & Loss Trends Analyst supports MAPFRE’s reinsurance strategy by turning large, complex data sets into actionable insights. Working in a hybrid or remote capacity, the analyst collaborates with claims, underwriting, finance, legal, risk and technology teams to guide forecasting, budgeting and performance management.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and validate extensive financial, operational, claims and underwriting data to uncover patterns and emerging trends.
• Project loss trends, including frequency, severity and financial impact, and produce forecasts based on historical data and business assumptions.
• Develop and maintain reporting solutions and dashboards that ensure data integrity and support decision‑making.
• Monitor reinsurance activity, assess its effectiveness and provide recommendations to optimize risk transfer.
• Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate analytical findings into strategic recommendations.
