About the role

The Rehab Technician works under direct on‑premises supervision of a licensed physical or occupational therapist, providing therapeutic modality treatments and assisting with patient care in a hospital setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain therapy areas, order supplies, linen and pharmaceuticals.
  • Assist therapists with modality treatments, patient positioning, and transport using wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness, operability and safety; follow infection‑control isolation techniques.
  • Support front‑desk and office procedures as needed.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in healthcare sciences preferred.
  • Ability to perform heavy physical tasks, including lifting and moving objects regularly.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with computers, software and web‑based applications.
  • Knowledge of patient transport procedures and wheelchair/stretcher operation.
