About the role
The Registration Representative coordinates patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling at Lehigh Valley Health Network. This part‑time, day‑shift position ensures accurate patient information collection and a positive experience for all visitors.
Key responsibilities
- Interview patients in person or by phone to gather demographic, insurance, and clinical data.
- Verify insurance eligibility, collect out‑of‑pocket fees, and create financial estimates.
- Scan and file insurance cards, IDs, and regulatory documents.
- Interpret physician orders, secure necessary signatures, and maintain compliance with registration accuracy.
Required profile
- High School Diploma/GED with at least 1 year of customer service or healthcare experience.
- Ability to interact compassionately with a diverse patient base, including emergency cases.
- Successful completion of required training within two attempts.
Required skills
- Computer and typing proficiency.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Bilingual ability (preferred).
