Registered Respiratory Therapist – Sign‑On Bonus

About the role

Join Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and help diagnose, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and pulmonary disorders. Qualified new graduates and experienced candidates are eligible for a sign‑on bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Administer physician‑prescribed respiratory therapy, including oxygen, respiratory medication, pulmonary function tests (PFTs), arterial blood gases (ABGs), and mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patients on mechanical ventilation, perform clinical assessments, troubleshoot equipment, and assist with weaning and airway care.
• Collect and analyze sputum, blood, and breath specimens; measure lung capacity and provide diagnostic results and treatment suggestions.

Required profile

• Graduate of an AMA‑approved School of Respiratory Care.
• Less than 1 year of related experience (new graduate eligible).
• RRT certification (National Board for Respiratory Care) within 1 year of hire.
• ACLS certification within 60 days of hire and RCP certification for Pennsylvania upon hire.

Required skills

• Mechanical ventilation operation and troubleshooting.
• Pulmonary function testing (PFT) and arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis.
• Oxygen therapy and respiratory medication administration.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) certification.
