About the role

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will work the night shift (7:00 pm‑7:30 am) in the Children’s Hospital Rehabilitation unit, providing advanced respiratory care to pediatric patients.

Key responsibilities

Assess, treat and monitor patients with respiratory insufficiencies, including ventilator and airway management.
Perform advanced cardiopulmonary evaluations, blood‑gas analysis, and deliver lifesaving therapies.
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and community support resources.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and RRT certification.
Ohio Respiratory Care Professional licensure and BLS certification.
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule.

Required skills

Ventilator management and advanced respiratory modalities.
Blood‑gas sampling and analysis.
Basic Life Support (BLS); preferred: ACLS, PALS, NRP, NPS.
