PRN RN – Children’s Rehab Hospital

About the role

The PRN Registered Nurse will provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in the Children’s Hospital Rehabilitation facility. This position offers flexible shift options across day, evening, night, and weekend schedules, supporting a multidisciplinary team caring for complex medical and rehabilitation needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions and progress.
• Administer medications and treatments according to approved protocols.
• Educate patients and families, addressing cultural and special concerns.
• Coordinate discharge planning and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within one year of hire.
• Minimum two years of recent related nursing experience (or internal candidates with less experience may be considered).

Required skills

• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting patients and standing for extended periods.
