Clinical Technician – Children’s Rehab

About the role

The Clinical Technician supports pediatric patients and families in the Children’s Hospital Rehabilitation unit. Working under RN supervision, you will help create a safe, compassionate environment for children with complex care needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with vital signs, weight, personal care, dressing changes, diaper changes, and urinary Foley catheter removal.
• Support telemetry unit duties such as cleaning toys, checking medication room for expired supplies, and serving as a patient sitter.
• Report abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to the RN and help keep patient rooms clean and orderly.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain during new‑hire period).
• One year of recent full‑time patient care experience or relevant military medical experience.
• Ability to work PRN shifts covering day, evening, night, and weekends (7:00 am – 7:30 pm).

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in taking vital signs and pulse oximetry.
• Experience with point‑of‑care testing and applying external monitoring devices.
