Registered Radiology Technologist - PRN

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a PRN Registered Radiology Technologist to join the diagnostic radiology team at Akron General Medical Center. This position works rotating evening/night shifts, providing high‑quality imaging while ensuring patient safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general radiology, portable, and fluoroscopic exams, producing accurate images for interpretation.
• Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via PACS and ensure proper documentation.
• Educate patients about procedures, maintain comfort and safety, and assist with scheduling and billing priorities.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, report malfunctions, and follow standard precautions with personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT‑registered (R.T.(R)) and current state licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and radiation safety.
• Preferred: at least one year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.

Required skills

• Operation of x‑ray equipment and various imaging modalities (CT, MRI, mammography, bone densitometry, nuclear medicine).
• Proficiency with Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
• Ability to lift/assist patients and stand for extended periods.
