Registered Radiology Technologist

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking a Registered Radiology Technologist to join its diagnostic radiology team. This part‑time, evening/night rotation role supports patient‑centered imaging services across a variety of modalities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general radiology, portable, and fluoroscopic examinations using stationary, mobile, C‑arm, and fluoroscopy equipment.
• Produce high‑quality diagnostic images, acquire, archive, transmit, and print them via PACS.
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and education throughout the imaging process.
• Document procedures, assist with scheduling, prioritize cases, and process billing.
• Report equipment malfunctions to management and technical support.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift patients, and handle equipment for extended periods.

Required skills

• Operation of x‑ray, mobile, C‑arm, and fluoroscopy systems.
• Proficiency with PACS for image acquisition, archiving, and transmission.
• Knowledge of infection control and personal protective equipment protocols.
