About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care in a Transitional Care Facility, ensuring safety, quality, and education for patients and families. This part‑time position supports the hospital’s mission to deliver life‑saving care.

Key responsibilities

Follow hospital policies on patient safety, infection prevention, and safe handling.
Maintain central lines, prevent surgical site infections, and administer medications.
Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, document care, and communicate findings to physicians and the care team.
Educate patients and families, delegate tasks appropriately, and foster teamwork.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current RN license in Missouri (or Compact licensure) and BLS certification.
One year of nursing experience preferred; new graduates must obtain licensure within 90 days.
Ability to lift up to 35 lb and perform frequent walking and other physical tasks.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
