Registered Nurse – Pediatric ICU

About the role

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is a 25‑bed unit delivering critical care to a diverse patient population, including transplant and oncology cases. As a Registered Nurse you will provide direct bedside care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support patients and families throughout the hospital stay.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and protocols.
• Implement, monitor, and update patient care plans and communicate condition changes.
• Administer medications and treatments following approved nursing protocols.
• Educate patients and families, addressing cultural and special concerns.
• Coordinate discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions of care.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in the state of Ohio.
• At least one year of acute‑care nursing experience in a hospital setting (military RN experience considered).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required upon hire or within one year).
