Registered Nurse - PCU (Night Shift)

About the role

AdventHealth Hinsdale is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its PCU unit on a night shift (6:45pm to 7:15am, rotating weekends and holidays). The schedule is 36 hours per week, with a starting pay of $37.50 per hour and a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500 for eligible applicants.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, analyze assessment data and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care, then implement interventions safely and document them.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Ensure safe and effective handoff communication and documentation.
• Follow CDC isolation guidelines, use PPE correctly, perform hand hygiene and enforce safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the care team to provide safe, timely, effective whole-person care and promote a positive patient experience.
• Educate patients and families on their conditions, procedures and care plans.
• Participate in peer interviewing, patient placement, quality and safety initiatives, and serve as a patient advocate.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
