Registered Nurse - Patient Aligned Care Team

About the role

The Alaska VA Healthcare System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Patient Aligned Care Team at its outpatient clinic in Homer, Alaska. This is an open continuous announcement, meaning applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as part of the Patient Aligned Care Team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated VA health services.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with VA policies.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and VA regulations governing patient care.

Required profile

• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Graduate of an ACEN‑ or CCNE‑accredited nursing program (or equivalent foreign qualification with validated equivalency).
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
• Ability to meet the VA’s Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) temporary appointment criteria, if applicable.
