Pharmacy Intern

About the role

Join the pharmacy team to learn how to deliver an exceptional patient experience while supporting the pharmacist and other team members. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and develop the skills needed to become a future pharmacist.

Key responsibilities

• Engage customers by greeting them, answering questions, and providing assistance with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
• Assist the pharmacist with prescription entry, third‑party processing, filling, dispensing, and reporting any errors promptly.
• Support patient care activities such as counseling, blood pressure checks, and medication therapy management within the intern scope of practice.
• Handle cash register duties, OTC aisle assistance, and telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist’s direct involvement.
• Participate in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, checking, and storing pharmaceuticals.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in an accredited pharmacy program.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to comply with state, federal, and company pharmacy policies and procedures.
