Dental Patient Services Representative

About the role

Join the SVT Health & Wellness Dental Department as a Dental Patient Services Representative. This part‑time position (20 hours per week) is the first point of contact for patients, handling registration, scheduling, and cashiering while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, determine their needs, and direct them appropriately.
• Complete patient check‑in/check‑out, registration, and update files and accounts.
• Maintain strict HIPAA confidentiality and comply with ICWA and mandatory‑reporting laws.
• Schedule appointments, manage provider flow, and handle daily cash‑handling duties.
• Answer phones using professional techniques and provide clear information on office policies and dental treatment plans.
• Verify insurance benefits, explain co‑insurance fees, and assist patients with forms.
• Maintain medical record systems, scan, copy, and fax records as needed.
• Attend meetings and trainings to stay current on billing, coding, and administrative procedures.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of clinical or customer‑service experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work politely under pressure.
