Registered Nurse - Outpatient Radiology, Part-Time

About the role

The Mayo Clinic is seeking a part‑time Registered Nurse to provide nursing care in the Outpatient Radiology department. The RN will coordinate patient care, educate patients and families, and ensure smooth transitions across the care continuum.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver direct patient care in outpatient radiology.
• Provide patient and family education and manage care transitions.
• Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate nursing care according to the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model.
• Serve as a preceptor, mentor peers, and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Delegate tasks based on skill level, patient acuity, and resource availability.
• Participate in committees or projects as needed.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Associate‑degree RN with documented baccalaureate completion within five years of start date (or as required by hiring policy).
• One year of RN experience in a relevant setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic (preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficient computer skills and prior experience with an electronic medical record system.
