Registered Nurse – OLGMC 9W Medical Telemetry (Full‑Time Days)

About the role

This full‑time day shift RN position supports patients in the OLGMC 9W Medical Telemetry unit at Ochsner in Lafayette. The RN leads patient care using the nursing process, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and upholds the highest standards of professional practice.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Assess patient learning needs, provide education, and adapt communication to diverse cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while managing resources effectively.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and Ochsner policies.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No prior work experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
