Registered Nurse – Neuroscience (Part‑Time Nights)

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care on the Neuroscience Unit during night shifts. This part‑time position involves assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care in accordance with hospital policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for designated neuroscience patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course.
• Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based practice projects.
• Teach, mentor and precept new colleagues and interns as assigned.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license for the State of Pennsylvania (upon hire).
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) required upon hire.
• Ability to organize, prioritize assignments and maintain unit‑specific competencies.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Proficiency in using clinical technology and electronic health record systems.
• Knowledge of ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and nursing ethics.
