Travel Medical Assistant – In‑Home Patient Care

About the role

Provide in‑home medical assistant services to patients across California, supporting preventive‑care visits such as Medicare Annual Wellness Visits. This temporary, seasonal position requires independent work and statewide travel.

Key responsibilities

• Complete scheduled in‑home member visits and support Medicare Annual Wellness Visits.
• Take vitals, perform screenings, and conduct point‑of‑care tests (e.g., A1C, urinalysis).
• Document visits accurately in the EMR/EHR and follow clinical, safety, HIPAA, and infection‑control procedures.
• Travel throughout California (and occasionally nearby states), including extended or overnight assignments, with mileage reimbursement and covered travel expenses.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience with a valid MA certificate or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, registration, and active auto insurance.
• Ability to work independently in patients’ homes and meet vaccination/TB onboarding requirements.

Required skills

• Point‑of‑care testing (A1C, urinalysis, specimen collection).
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR documentation.
