Telehealth PA or NP – Supporting Military Readiness (Remote)

About the role

Join Optum Serve as a remote Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner providing virtual medical care to support military readiness. You will conduct patient triage, assessments, and referrals while ensuring compliance with all Optum Serve policies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform virtual medical assessments, analyze histories, symptoms, and diagnostic information.
• Document patient care plans promptly in the electronic health record.
• Provide emergency virtual support and appropriate follow‑up referrals.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Collaborate with other providers and healthcare team members to deliver quality care.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program with a valid, unrestricted license in Puerto Rico, Guam, or the Virgin Islands.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience, including oversight of ancillary staff and care of adult patients.
• Ability to obtain additional state licenses within two weeks of hire.
• Strong critical‑thinking, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) platforms.
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office and database applications.
• Experience handling high‑volume virtual calls in a call‑center environment.
