Registered Nurse – Neuroscience (Full‑Time Nights)

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care on the Neuroscience Unit during night shifts. The RN will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with facility policies and evidence‑based practice.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Utilize effective verbal and non‑verbal communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based practice projects.
• Perform validated technical skills specific to the neuroscience specialty and incorporate technology to optimize care delivery.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments and maintain unit‑specific competencies.
• Successful completion of orientation programs related to the neuroscience specialty.
• Physical ability to lift and carry 40‑50 lb, stand/walk continuously, and perform patient transfers.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (required upon hire).
