Registered Nurse – Neonatal ICU (Level IV)

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Health System and work in a Magnet‑recognized Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Hillcrest Hospital. As a Registered Nurse you will provide direct, family‑centered care to critically ill neonates and extremely low birth‑weight infants, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to neonates in accordance with hospital policies and protocols.
• Implement, monitor, and adjust patient care plans.
• Record and communicate patient condition and status.
• Coordinate care across disciplines and serve as primary liaison.
• Execute physician and nursing orders accurately.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current RN licensure.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association within one year of hire.
• At least one year of experience in an acute‑care hospital setting (military RN experience considered).
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and prior NICU experience.

Required skills

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) techniques.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) proficiency.
• American Heart Association (AHA) certification.
• Operation of high‑frequency ventilation equipment.
• Administration of inhaled nitric oxide therapy.
