About the role

Join Ochsner’s compassionate team as a full‑time night RN on a Med‑Surg and Swingbed unit. You will provide high‑quality patient care, lead interdisciplinary collaboration, and support the unit’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Apply the nursing process to deliver safe, evidence‑based patient care.
  • Assess patient learning needs and implement tailored education for patients and families.
  • Delegate, supervise, and coordinate nursing team resources while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Utilize data and clinical knowledge to drive improvements and achieve optimal outcomes.

Required profile

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current RN license in the state of practice.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • No prior work experience required.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
