About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 5 Med Surg Innovation Unit. This PRN position provides direct patient care across day, evening, night, and weekend shifts, supporting a collaborative, technology‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions and respond to physician orders.
Assess discharge needs and coordinate patient transitions.
Maintain professional growth through ongoing education and clinical study.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
Current state RN licensure.
Basic Life Support certification; ACLS required for critical‑care areas.
Two years recent related nursing experience for external applicants; less experience may be considered for internal candidates.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (if applicable).
Ability to perform full range of body motions, lift patients, and work under stressful conditions.
